Marilyn Monroe: Fashion Accessories for Cruise from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Marilyn Monroe is undoubtedly the Cleopatra of Hollywood. I still remember the long queue of bystanders at Madam Tussauds who would give up anything to have a photo with her wax statue. Yes, that's the effect she has on people even after so many years. Marilyn would focus on minutest of details in her dressing. She would be perfect from tip to toe. One cannot forget her adorable looks from the classic hollywood movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes".

If you are going cruising this summer, don't forget to take some tips from the legendary actress and the dresses she wore movie.

Here is a list of top five accessories she wore in one of our all time favourites "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes".

1. Style Hatter:

She stole hearts with the unique hats she wore in the film. She just looked so charming in the sailor's hat and she literally stole the show with her magician hat dance in the film. So don't forget to carry a hat on the ship.

2. Cape of style:

Marilyn wore a leopard print cape effortlessly in the film. Trust us, the cape is only meant for bravehearts. We would suggest wear a circular scarf instead to become the centre of attraction.

3. Steal the show with stole:

The Stole Marilyn wore with her orange mermaid gown made her look awe-inspiring. The length of her stole is long much more than your scaves/stoles and duppattas. Do keep an evening gown for all the ball at the ship.

4. Gloves are not just for doctors:

She wore matching gloves with her evening dresses. Eventhough gloves are no longer in vogue, we would suggest you to keep a few hand accessories to flaunt on your marine trip.

5. Diamonds are girl's best friend:

As the celebrated song in the movie rightly suggests diamonds are rightly a girl's best friend. She wore diamonds with a pink gown which can make even Cindrella envious. Just bling your evening attire with jewellery and steal hearts like Marylin.

Also, do not forget to keep a pair of shades, scarves, flip-flops and sarong for your sea adventure. Bon Voyage!
